The General tab

• Description – Enter a summary for the current conversion setting.
• Compatible With - With Foxit PDF Editor, you can choose the version number from 1.3 to 1.7 when creating PDFs.

1. In the Setting tab of the Foxit PDF Editor Printer Properties dialog box, select a set of default settings. 
2. Click the Edit button to specify the conversion settings in the seven tabs in the pop-up dialog box.

• Foxit Conversion Settings – Shows the description of the default setting you select in the Default Settings menu.
• Default Settings - chooses a type of conversion quality as the default setting. There are six predefined sets of default settings shown as below. You can click Edit to create and modify your customized default settings as needed.

Before creating a PDF file with Foxit PDF Editor Printer, you may wish to access PDF printing preferences to set up options for your PDF files. To access PDF printing preferences of Foxit PDF Editor Printer, you need to open the Foxit PDF Editor Printer Properties dialog box by doing either of the following:

The Print dialog is the final step before printing. You can modify the printer settings in this dialog as well. Be aware that changing the printer may affect the page setup if the new selected printer has a different paper size, for instance.

To open the Print dialog box, do one of the following: 

• Choose File > Print.

You can print one tab you are opening from the tab bar or print out all documents opened in the tab bar at a time. 

1. Move the pointer to the tab bar.
2. Right-click it > Choose Print Current Tab/Print All Tabs. 

You can choose to print PDF pages associated with the selected bookmarks from the Bookmarks panel in the navigation pane.

1. In the navigation pane, click the Bookmarks panel and select a bookmark you want to print. (Ctrl-click to choose multiple bookmarks.) 

2. Right-click the selected bookmarks and choose Print Page(s) or Print Section(s) from the context menu.

   Print Page(s): Only print the pages where the selected bookmarks (including child bookmarks) are.

To perform a quick print, you can select multiple pages from a document from the thumbnail list.

• Open the document that you want to print, and then click the Pages button on the left navigation pane.
• Shift-click / Ctrl-click/ drag the mouse to select a range of page thumbnails from the document.
• Select Print Pages from the right-click menu, and then click OK.

To print a portion of a page, you need to refer to the Snapshot command.

• Select the Snapshot command by choosing Home > Snapshot.
• Drag around the area you want to print.
• Right-click in the selected area > choose Print…, and then refer to the “The Print dialog box”.
