Foxit PDF Editor offers preset visual modes that allow you to change the reading background with a single click, enhancing your reading experience by reducing eye strain and improving readability. To switch the visual modes, click View > Visual Mode, and select Default, Night, Eye Comfort, or Sepia background from the drop-down list as desired.
- Default: Reverts to the standard light gray background.
- Night: Applies a dark background with light text to reduce screen glare in low light conditions.
- Eye Comfort: Uses a light green background that filters blue light and softens screen glare for reduced eye strain especially during prolonged use.
- Sepia background: Adopts a warm, parchment-like tone for a gentle reading experience and reduced visual fatigue during prolonged viewing.
Notes:
- You can also set the page background in File > Preferences > Accessibility. If both a page background and a visual mode are configured, the last change you make takes effect. However, the background for full-screen mode you set in File > Preferences > Full Screen has lower priority than any visual mode.
- If a document page itself already includes a non-white background, visual modes will only apply to the area outside that page in the document pane.
