Security settings for attachments

To change the security settings of how to open an attachment, click the Settings buttonin the Attachment panel and do one of the following:

• Select or deselect Allow opening of non-PDF attachments with external applications to control the permissions for opening non-PDF attachments with their associated applications. For more information, please refer to “Security Settings for Non-PDF Attachments”.
• To add a non-PDF file type and configure how to open a file attachment in that format, click the Add button to input the file extension in the Security Settings dialog box, and then choose an option in the Settings group. For more information about the options, please refer to “the Open File Attachments dialog box”.
• To delete the existing security settings for a certain file type, click one of the existing file types and click the Delete button.
• To change the settings of how to open the attachments of the type, choose one of the three options listed.
