Foxit PDF Editor provides the commonly used languages to meet customers’ needs to the upmost. Usually, Foxit PDF Editor will automatically choose the language applied to your OS as its default during your installation. But changing languages after installation is supportable. To change the UI language of Foxit PDF Editor, please go to File > Preferences > Languages, and select an option from the following:
- Use system local language—Makes the system locale language the UI language.
- Choose custom language—Selects your desired UI language from the list. (Tip: Foxit PDF Editor has been localized in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish. - Choose languages provided by the community—Selects the language translated by volunteers on Foxit multi-language translation system. A prompt message will pop up giving you a notice that you can get the UI language package on our website. Default Reading Direction: Choose a default reading direction when you’re reading a document in Facing or Continuous Facing mode. With Left to Right or Right to Left selected in Default Reading Direction, the reading direction is based on the setting here in Preferences; with Infer direction from document selected, then the binding direction in File > Properties > Advanced prevails.
Enable text direction switching: Check this option to display the Writing Direction button in the Format tab in the right panel, which allows you to change text direction while adding text comments and text objects.
Text Direction: Sets the text direction for text comments and text objects you add, including left to right and right to left.
Hindi Digits: Select this option to allow you to input numbers in Hindi using Add Text, Edit Text, and Reflow Editing features.
