By Cynthia, 14 November, 2025
  1. Click File > Export, or navigate to the Convert tab. Choose To MS Office > (To) XPS.

    Tips

    1) You can also export PDFs through File > Save As.

    2) If you select a format in File > Export, the cog icon appears when you put the cursor over a format, allowing you to specify the export settings (i.e., the settings in Step 3).

  2. In the pop-up dialog box, specify the file name and location for the output file. Select View Result to open the output file after the conversion process is completed.
  3. (Optional) You can select more options from “Settings” in the Save As dialog box before saving the file. In the Save As XPS Settings dialog box, select options as needed.

Page Range: chooses the page range you want to export.

File Format: select the Use .oxps format option to convert the PDF to an .oxps file. This option is available for Windows 10 and higher versions, and is unselected by default.

Restore Defaults: reverts to the original default settings.

  4. Click Save, and the XPS file will be created and opened in XPS Viewer.
