With just a few clicks, our AI Assistant lets you effortlessly translate an entire PDF document into another language while preserving the original layout, formatting, and visual structure. This makes the feature suitable for reports, manuals, academic papers, and any PDF where layout matters.
To use the feature, follow the steps below which are based on the AI Assistant within Foxit PDF Editor for Windows.
Open your document in Foxit PDF Editor for Windows.
Click AI Assistant > Translate Document.
In the pop-up dialog box:
Select the target language for translation.
Specify the page range you want to translate.
Check Translate images to translate text inside images. When enabled, the Image Language dropdown becomes active so you can specify the language of the text inside images.
Click Translate to begin processing.
Once the translation is complete, the translated document automatically opens in a new tab, with the original and translated pages shown side by side.
You can use the Show Original toggle at the top of the document pane to control whether the original pages are kept. If Show Original is on and you save the document, the saved file will include both the original and translated pages. If Show Original is off, the saved file will include only the translated pages.
To translate the document into another language, click the Translation Settings icon
at the top of the document pane, choose a new target language, and retranslate. The translated pages will be replaced with the new translation.
