To summarize the current document with the Summarize Document command on the ribbon:
Click AI Assistant > Summarize Document on the ribbon. (Alternatively, enter “/” or click the
icon in the chat box, and choose Summarize Document from the tool list that appears.)The Summarize Document panel will open on the right side of the application window. After a short moment, the summary will appear in the panel.
(Optional) To re-analyze the document, click the Information
icon at the top of the AI Chat panel and choose Re-analyze. (Optional) Enter any follow-up questions about the document in the chat box.
Use the icons located beneath the summary response to:
Copy the summary to your clipboard.
Regenerate the summary for an alternative version.
Export the summary.

To summarize one or multiple documents from the AI Chat panel:
Launch Foxit PDF Editor for Windows and click AI Assistant > AI Chat on the ribbon to open the AI Chat panel.
Click the Add Files icon
in the chat box to select your files. The files you added will appear in the chat box.After adding all the desired files, click the Summarize the document option beneath the files list.
A summary of the document(s) will be generated in the AI Chat panel.
Some parts of the summary may include numbered source tags, indicating the pages where the information originated. Click a number to jump to that page in the document view.
Use the icons located beneath the summary response to:
Copy the summary to the clipboard by clicking the Copy this answer icon
.Add the summary as a Note comment in the currently opened document by clicking the Copy this answer to comment icon
.Generate an alternative version by clicking the Regenerate icon
. If multiple versions have been generated, use the arrow icons next to the Regenerate icon to navigate between them.Save the generated summary as a Word or PDF file by clicking the Export icon

You can take additional steps as follows:
If the document is a PDF and contains PDF attachments, you can enhance your document analysis by continuing to analyze the attachments directly from the AI Assistant’s prompt. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of all contained information.
Ask AI any questions related to the documents in the chat box to gain deeper insights regarding specific content within the documents.
