The AI Assistant’s Smart Podcast goes beyond basic text-to-speech. It uses a natural, human-like AI voice to read summaries and in-depth analysis of documents aloud and turns content into a two-person podcast-style conversation, making it easier to absorb information while multitasking or resting your eyes. It also helps repurpose written content into accessible audio, offering a faster, more engaging way to consume documents.
To use this feature, follow these steps (based on the AI Assistant within Foxit PDF Editor for Windows):
Open the document in Foxit PDF Editor for Windows.
Click AI Assistant on the ribbon and choose Smart Podcast.
The Smart Podcast tab appears in the right panel, and you can choose one of the options:
Overview: Generate a brief audio summary highlighting the key points of the document. Click the settings icon
to open the Customize window, configure the language, voice character, and style, and then click Generate AI podcast to start generating the audio. In-depth Analysis: Generate a two-person conversation that analyzes the document. Click the settings icon
to customize audio settings and generate the podcast.
If you previously configured settings, click Overview or In-depth Analysis to generate audio immediately using the saved settings in the Customize window.
When generation completes, the audio appears in the Podcast Library in the Smart Podcast tab. Hover over an item to reveal the Play icon. Use the three‑dot menu to Rename, Download, or Delete the audio.
When playing audio, the playback control area provides controls to pause/resume, adjust playback speed, view transcriptions, skip forward/backward by 10 seconds, and download the audio. Click the close button to hide the control bar and stop playback.
