Edit PDF via Chat (Editor Desktop only)

The Edit PDF mode uses an agent architecture to understand task intent through natural language processing and to invoke the appropriate PDF commands. You can edit PDFs by typing plain‑language instructions, which speeds up edits without hunting through menus or ribbons. 

To use the Edit PDF mode, follow the steps below which are based on the AI Assistant within Foxit PDF Editor for Windows.

  1. Open a document in Editor. 
  2. Click AI Assistant > AI Chat to open the AI Chat panel.
  3. Click the wand-style tool buttonin the chat box and choose Edit PDF.
  4. Type a prompt describing your task requirements in the chat box.

  5. Submit your request and wait for the response.

    Some tasks may require confirmation or approval; the AI Assistant will display prompts during execution to request your input.
