Foxit AI Assistant allows users to upload one or multiple files to chat with. Users can ask questions, get summaries, translate content, and more. Users can perform all these functions while conveniently previewing the files through the web interface.
Visit https://ai.foxit.com in a web browser, sign in, and start a new chat.
Click the Add Files icon
in the chat box and select the documents you want to upload to chat about. Note: The local documents you uploaded will be synced to Foxit Cloud Documents and they will appear as existing files in the dialog box when you want to add them for reanalysis.Once the upload is complete, the webpage will be divided into three sections from left to right: the sidebar, the preview pane, and the AI Chat panel.
- The sidebar: The files you uploaded are listed on the sidebar. You can continue to add files by clicking the Add Files icon
above the file list. Click the three-dot icon next to each file and choose an option to preview, download, or remove the file. - The preview pane: You can choose a document from the sidebar to preview it. Use the corresponding button at the top of the preview pane to read and translate PDFs or click the Close button to close the preview pane. Use the corresponding button at the bottom of the preview pane to adjust the view magnification as needed, view the page thumbnails for PDFs, and download the translated document.
- The AI Chat panel: The summarization for all of the uploaded documents is executed automatically once you upload the documents. You can ask any questions about the documents and perform tasks as desired in the AI Chat panel.
(Optional) To translate a document, click the down arrow next to the Translate icon at the top of the preview pane and choose a target language. Then the translation starts. After the translation is completed, the translated document will be displayed in the preview pane alongside the original. You can close the original document as needed. To download the translated document or open it in Foxit PDF Editor Cloud, click the Download or Open in Foxit PDF Editor Cloud button at the bottom of the preview pane.
If you do not download the translated document, once you close the preview pane or switch to another chat, you need to execute the translation again to get the translated document, which will consume another credit.
